Meet Lynsey: our new Product Designer

Hello Nosso Family!

We kept you a bit in the dark lately. Yes, guilty as charged. We didn't tell you that a new team member has joined us! Lynsey is the magician behind our app.
Noticed any changes lately? (Keep your eyes peeled for some more).

So let's find out a bit more about her.

What's your background?

I studied Graphic Design in Australia and moved to the UK a couple of years ago. That's when I got into startups. I started working for BorrowMyDoggy and haven’t looked back since.

What do you like about your role?

I love the fact that I'm helping real people. Everything I do plays a part into somebody's day-to-day.I also like the feeling of excitement. We're a small team, so it's normal that there's a lot to be done. But it feels good. We're always trying to get better. And everyone is so friendly. So bonus points.

How does your day-to-day look like?

It depends. Some days I am involved with the creation of a roadmap. Really tackling the general process so that I can tick things off my list. While on some other days I am speaking to our Nosso parents. I love this part of my job as I get to understand how we can really help them.

Why Nosso?

I'm passionate about Nosso's mission. I know, I'm not a parent on the team, but I really believe in what we're building.When talking to friends about planning for the future - where we’re going to live, kids, houses, life goals - I realised there’s so much we don’t know about how we should think about money in the long term. Especially around investments.

It’s never too late to start, but it’s always better to start earlier. And I believe at Nosso I can change that for the future generations.

What are you working on? Anything you want our readers to know?

Well... I can't reveal too much. But I can tell you it has a lot to do with the look as well as making the app experience better for all of you.

Alright. Let me give you a little spoiler. We have been working on our look lately. So brace yourselves. Because you are about to see some changes here and there. Think of it as a good makeover session.

Funny story

Ahhh. This a bit embarrassing. Once I went for a run in December, right before Christmas, and I forgot my keys.

Both my flatmates were away. One was in Germany, the other was off somewhere in the countryside here in the UK.

I left my phone at home. Only had my iTouch (old school I know) and it was almost out of battery. I managed to stand out outside my door, connect to the wifi and FB message a friend of mine. I asked her if I could stay at hers until I could contact my UK flatmate for the key. Or the estate agent.

Luckily when I was there I remembered I had left my window open. So my friend got her boyfriend to climb onto my balcony and let me in to my house. And then I went to work.

Favourite app

Definitely The Universe. It's an app that makes you-rethink how to build a website. I love it as I can unleash my creativity. No need to think about roadmaps of any sort. It's very relaxing and helps me unwind.
